New Yorkers are paying $800 an ounce for fungus-encrusted silkworms. Described as "Himalayan Viagra", the dried dead bodies can be sprinkled on cereal or dissolved into an anti-impotence tea. The insects come from Nepal, where they are attacked by a beige fungus that kills and entombs them. The infected worms are then picked by peasants during the summer and are also used to treat chronic asthma.
