Making the grade

Students are wagering on their grades for the upcoming school year. Ultrinsic.com allows students from 36 colleges to wager on how well they’ll do during the upcoming semester. The site calculates how much they will pay based on a student's academic history and other info researchers can get their hands on. If a student reaches their target grade, Ultrinsic will pay them based on the amount it calculated. If not, the student must pay them. Critics say Ultrinsic may encourage students to gamble.
