On Tour

Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison plans to tour with Rob Zombie. Zombie says, "Our drummer told us he was quitting right before the tour, that's true. I was like, 'Hey, thanks!'. He's been with us for five years and then he quits with no warning. We called up Joey and asked if he knew anyone and he was like, 'I'll do it!'. It was sort of a downtime for his band and he's been with us ever since. Then the Murderdolls album came out and I thought well, he's going to do that and he's like, 'No, I'll do that too,' so we'll see if he likes doing two shows a night. On paper a great idea, but let's see how it translates after a few weeks of shows."

Corey Taylor says he doesn't care if the church dislikes his upcoming book Seven Deadly Sins. "The Church can get mad all they want, it just means more book sales basically and I stopped listening to the Church a long time ago… how can I trust sex advice from people who don’t even have a zipper on their pants?"

What up, Slipknot?

During his solo concert last Saturday in Vegas, Slipknot's Corey Taylor dedicated an acoustic version of "Snuff" to Slipknot bassist Paul Gray. The Hard Rock Hotel unveiled a new Corey Taylor case that features his masks and uniforms.

Slipknot Hitched

Slipknot's Corey Taylor got married over the weekend to Stephanie Luby. Mark McGrath, Dave Navarro and Billy Morrison, who acted as the minister, attended the ceremony. Metallica's "For Whom The Bell Tolls" played as the bride led the wedding party down the aisle.

the Big 4-0

Slipknot's Shawn 'Clown' Crahan plans to celebrate his 40th birthday later this month by hosting an art show at the Hotel Kirkwood in Des Moines, Iowa. He says he plans to display acrylic on canvas paintings, framed photography, and prints and Polaroids from his upcoming book, The Apocalyptic Nightmare Journey. "My first gallery showing is truly the realization of a lifelong dream. I feel as though I've waited my whole life to be able to enjoy what I always imagined painting to be. Painting is one of the only artistic expressions that brings me ultimate happiness and freedom. This show is a fun way to have an evening dedicated to the celebration of everyone's ambitions and love for art, whatever their medium may be. So, artists everywhere, come as you are."

Happy Anniversary Slipknot!

Slipknot plans to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of their first release by reissuing it. The self titled CD/DVD will feature 25 tracks, including the original CD as well as rare demos, remixes, rare b-sides and more. The package hits stores on September 9th.

OMG of the day

Slipknot's Corey Taylor was recently asked, "What's the wimpiest album you own?" He replied, "Oh Christ, I've got a ton of them. I don't know -- Abba's Greatest Hits."
