Rewritten

Shinedown drummer Barry Kerch says Brent Smith had to rewrite the lyrics to the Alice in Wonderland song, "Her Name is Alice." "To have Disney approach us and say, 'Hey, you wanna do a song for a Tim Burton-Johnny Depp movie?' -- absolutely!" We're huge fans, of course, and what a cool story, anyway. When we first wrote the songs, Brent (Smith) put lyrics on it based on the book, 'cause we hadn't seen the trailer or anything yet, or even a script. And then when it came time for Brent to lay down his vocals, the trailer was out and he realized it was Tim Burton's version of the story, where Alice is going back to Wonderland, so he changed all his lyrics."

Bean says no to Burton

Kurt Cobain's daughter, Frances Bean, has turned down the chance to star with Johnny Depp in Tim Burton's new movie The Mad Hatter. A source says, "Tim thought she would be perfect, but she wants to go to university. She's incredibly focused and sensible."
