General Motors is testing new software that would allow drivers to use OnStar to reply to text messages, and update their Facebook status while driving. Verbal commands control the OnStar feature. GM is also testing a feature that would read text messages to drivers and allow them to respond by clicking one of four steering wheel buttons. Safety experts say any distraction while driving is not a good idea.
