1,000 Blue Balloons Go By

Keep your eyes peeled for a big blue balloon floating around your neighborhood: it may have Jack White’s new single attached to it. On Sunday, the ex-White Stripes frontman launched 1,000 helium balloons, each carrying a flexi-disc record of his unreleased single “Freedom at 21,” at his Third Man Records headquarters in Nashville.

Attached to each balloon is a custom postcard with instructions for the finders to submit photos, the location and the date on which the record was discovered. You can then go online to see where all the balloons were found at ThirdManRecords.com/Balloon.

“Freedom at 21” is included in the track list for White’s upcoming solo debut, Blunderbuss, due in stores on April 24.

High Mileage?!

These days, most people consider themselves lucky if a new car lasts 5 to 10 years. Make it to 100,000 miles in your vehicle, and the car company might make a commercial about you. That makes 93-year-old Rachel Veitch a notable exception. Veitch is retiring her 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente after more than 576,000 miles on the road. Yet for all the miles she has put on her vehicle, it doesn't come close to the world record. The Truth About Cars blog wrote that Irv Gordon's 1966 Volvo P1800 is scheduled to reach 3 million miles this year. Gordon has held the record in the Guinness Book of World Records for most miles on a noncommercial vehicle since 1998. Read more HERE

Miss(ter) Universe

Jenna Talackova, the Canadian beauty queen, won't have to fight Donald Trump for a chance to compete for the Miss Universe Canada title after all, even though she was born a he. Talackova is everything you think of when you hear the words "beauty queen." With her bright smile, flowing blonde hair and viciously long legs, you can't deny she's stunning. But Talackova, 23, was first disqualified from the Miss Universe Canada competition because she was born a male, according to CTV. Talackova was originally selected as one of 65 finalists for the Donald Trump-owned competition and her profile and photos were pulled from the Miss Universe Canada website. But the Trump organization has reversed its decision, announcing today that it won't attempt to keep Talackova out of the contest. Read more HERE

What the Hell Theater

A 28-year-old Chinese woman apparently really didn't want to be disturbed when taking an afternoon nap, so she found a nice, private spot: a narrow ledge five stories off the ground. The UK Sun reports Yan Yan Ch'eng's nap on the building in Yiwu, in China's Zhejiang province became positively death-defying when she rolled over in her sleep -- and somehow managed to grab an edge before plummeting to her likely death. Emergency services managed to assemble in time to snatch the dangling woman to safety.

The actions of a 59-year-old Des Moines man are under investigation by the police department, after he was caught on video surveillance urinating on the office chairs of female co-workers. According to the Des Moines Register, employees of the Farm Bureau had been complaining of stains on their chairs starting in the fall of last year. Eventually, cameras were installed in February to find out who was responsible, and they soon found a male who relieved himself on various co-workers based on their appearances in an employee database. He allegedly targeted the chairs of the more attractive females. He was fired after the footage turned up last week. Cops are seeing if criminal charges are applicable. Damage to the chairs was estimated at $4,500.

2 Out from Limp Bizkit

There is serious tension brewing within Limp Bizkit, a little more than a month after they signed with Cash Money Records.

On Friday, original Limp Bizkit member DJ Lethal wrote on Twitter that he and drummer John Otto are being ousted from the band because frontman Fred Durst "has plans for a 'new' limp bizkit."

He continued, "From what I understand is Fred doesn't approve of our lifestyle which includes partying and fun. I don't want to cause drama, it's unfair. I've tried to reach out and make things better. But Fred seems to have made up his mind. Bands fight and argue all the time. just don't get it."

Limp Bizkit signed with Cash Money Records in February and have collaborated with Lil Wayne on a single titled "Ready to Go."
