A thief in Italy was sent to a halfway house run by monks to serve out the rest of his prison sentence, and has escaped twice in six weeks. The second time, he went straight to a police station and asked to be sent back to jail, because he hated life at the monastery so much. A guy bought a Mountain Dew from a vending machine in Illinois in 2009, and claims he found a dead mouse in the can. So naturally he filed a $350,000 lawsuit. But Pepsi is trying to get the case dismissed . . . because they say the mouse would have DISSOLVED long before the guy opened the can, leaving behind, quote, "a jelly like substance" at the bottom.
