The fourth annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards, honoring all things hard rock, are set to take place Wednesday at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. The event, which will be emceed by pro wrestler and Fozzy frontman Chris Jericho, will be viewable live in its entirety on Xbox LIVE, as well as on Xbox and at Revolver magazine's official Facebook page.
Kiss singer/bassist Gene Simmons will be presented with the night's highest honor, the Golden God Award, while prog-rock legends Rush will receive the Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award. Others prizes that will be handed out throughout the evening include Best Guitarist, Best Drummer, Best Vocalist, Album of the Year, Best Live Band and Comeback of the Year.
The festivities will get under way at 6 p.m. PT with a Black Carpet pre-show hosted by Twister Sister's Dee Snider, and the ceremony will begin two hours later.
