Ticket Package

The L.A. Dodgers and Nickelback are teaming up for a new promotion that will allow 1,000 fans to buy a ticket package that includes Dodgers seats and lawn seats to a September Nickelback concert for only $20.

OMG of the day

Ryan O'Neal says he accidentally flirted with his daughter Tatum at Farrah Fawcett's funeral. “I had just put the casket in the hearse and I was watching it drive away when a beautiful blonde woman comes up and embraces me. I said to her, ‘You have a drink on you? You have a car?’ She said, ‘Daddy, it’s me—Tatum!’ I was just trying to be funny with a strange Swedish woman, and it’s my daughter. It’s so sick.”

Singing Cohen

Sacha Baron Cohen is going to play a singer in his next movie. The film will follow him as he enters the Eurovision Song Contest, an annual singing competition that was previously won by ABBA.

Recession Ride

Eric Hagen of Burlington, Vermont, has started a new cab company called Recession Ride. The slogan on the back window says, “Pay what you want!” Hagen says, “When we get to the destination, people say, ‘What do I owe you?’ And I’ll say, ‘Pay what you want!’ But it’s a concept people have difficulty wrapping their heads around. So I just say, ‘Be fair.’ Most people figure out that they can save a few bucks and still be fair. I’m being generous by taking a fixed price out of the equation, so people are usually generous in return.”

White Russian

Russian soccer fans, who are heading to Wales for next month's World Cup soccer qualifier, have been told to drink lots of whiskey to ward off the Swine Flu. Russia's Health Ministry says, "We urge our fans to drink a lot of Welsh whiskey as a form of disinfection. That should cure all symptoms of the disease. Russian fans don't fear anything or anybody so this virus will not stand in our way of supporting our team."

Our friends call us "The Shack"

Radio Shack is dropping the 'Radio' from their name. ' The Shack', which plans to focus on selling cell phones and consumer electronics, wants to get away from being seen as a 'geeky electronics parts store'
