A group of 2,500 people set a new world record yesterday for the largest number of simultaneously erupting "Mentos geysers". The Mexico City participants dropped the candy inside 2-liter bottles of soda at the same time. The mixture created a giant geyser of fizz. A representative from Guinness World Records was on hand to verify the event.
