ABC TV:: What's New?


ABC revealed their plans yesterday, and like NBC, they're making quite an overhaul. They introduced 13 new shows, eight dramas and five comedies. And thankfully, NO MORE singing competition shows!!!

"Charlie's Angels":: A remake of the late '70s series. Starring Minka Kelly ("Friday Night Lights" & Derek Jeter's girlfriend), Rachael Taylor and Annie Ilonzeh ("General Hospital"). Trailer

"Good Christian Belles":: Drama. Starring Kristin Chenoweth, Annie Potts and Leslie Bibb. This drama follows a woman, who was once the "mean girl" in her high school class, as she returns home after her marriage "ends in scandal.". It's based on a book called "Good Christian Bitches". ABC toned down the title. Trailer

"Missing":: Drama. Starring Ashley Judd, Sean Bean ("Lord of the Rings"). Judd plays a mother and former CIA agent whose 18-year-old son mysteriously disappears while studying in Italy. So she flies to Europe to track him down. Trailer

"Once Upon a Time":: Fantasy/Drama. Starring Ginnifer Goodwin ("Big Love"), and Jennifer Morrison ("House"). About fairy tale characters that exist in real life in a strange town called Storybrooke. Trailer

"Pan Am":: Primetime Soap. Cast includes Christina Ricci. About stewardesses that's set in the '60s. Trailer

"Revenge":: Drama. Starring Emily VanCamp ("Everwood", "Brothers & Sisters") A woman who returns to her old neighborhood in the Hamptons to get revenge on the people who damaged her family years before. Trailer

"The River":: Mystery / Thriller. Ex. Producer Oren Peli ("Paranormal Activity") goes missing deep in the Amazon and the dangerous journey his family, friends and crew set out on to find him. Trailer

"Scandal":: Drama. Starring Kerry Washington and Columbus Short ("Stomp the Yard").Series from Shonda Rhimes, who created "Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice". This one is NOT set in a hospital. It's about a professional crisis worker and her dysfunctional staff. Trailer

"Apartment 23":: A "bizarre" Sitcom. Starring Krysten Ritter ("Breaking Bad") and James Van Der Beek ("Dawson's Creek"), who's playing himself. About a girl struggling to make it in New York City. Trailer

"Last Man Standing":: Comedy Sitcom. Starring TIM ALLEN. Sort of a reverse "Home Improvement". Instead of being a Tool Man with three sons, this time ALLEN works at a sporting goods store and has three daughters. Trailer

"Man Up":: Sitcom. "three modern men try to get in touch with their inner tough guys and re-define what it means to be a 'real man.'" Trailer

"Suburgatory":: Sitcom. Starring Jeremy Sisto ("Law & Order") and Cheryl Hines ("Curb Your Enthusiasm"). A single father who moves from the city to the suburbs for his teenage daughter. Trailer

"Work It":: Comedy. About two unemployed "alpha males," who dress up as women to get jobs as pharmaceutical reps and yeah, they pull it off. Trailer
