1925 - The CHRYSLER corporation was founded by Walter Percy Chrysler.

1933 - THE FIRST DRIVE-IN MOVIE THEATER OPENED . . . in Camden, New Jersey. Do you think they had creepy vans with shag carpeting back then?

1968 - Stock car driver BUDDY BAKER drove into the wall at Smoky Mountain Raceway. As he was being taken away in an ambulance, the back door opened and he fell out. He survived that, too, and continued racing.

1971 - The "Ed Sullivan Show" was canceled after 23 years. GLADYS KNIGHT & HER PIPS were Ed's last musical guests.

1998 - "Sex and the City" premiered on HBO. It ran for six seasons until its final episode in 2004.
