During the Stone Temple Pilots weekend show in Toronto, Scott Weiland sang accapella to dispel rumors he has been lip synching on tour. STP also covered Led Zeppelin’s 'Dancing Day'. Scott told fans at another show. "There has never been a time in the 25-plus years that I have been singing with these guys, or a combination of these guys, or with other musicians, that I have not sang. So, whoever started that bulls**t claim, like so many other bulls**t claims... it's such a travesty. We are a rock 'n' roll band. Rock 'n' roll bands perform live."

Push up or Pay up

Brent McMahon has challenged Taylor Lautner to a pushup contest. The Twilight star is suing McMahon’s RV for failing to deliver a custom vehicle in time. Lautner wants $40,000 as a settlement. McMahon says he’s willing to pay the money if the actor beats him in a push-up contest. If he wins, he’ll donate the money to charity.

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu has insured his hair for $1 million. Head and Shoulders took out the policy to make sure nothing happens to his three-foot locks. The insurance was obtained through Lloyd's of London. Polamalu, a five-time Pro Bowl player, wears his hair long as a tribute to his Samoan heritage. Larry Johnson once tackled Polamalu by the hair during a 49-yard interception return in 2006.

Spencer Pratt is threatening to release a sex tape of him and Heidi Montag. A source tells the Daily Mail, "Heidi’s really p***ed off. She denies there is a sex tape. She’s furious that Spencer would try and embarrass her like this."

A group of 2,500 people set a new world record yesterday for the largest number of simultaneously erupting "Mentos geysers". Jet Blue flight attendant Steven Slater exploded yesterday on a passenger. His flight from Pittsburgh had just landed at New York's JFK Airport when he got into a shouting match. Eyewitnesses say the passenger, a woman, ignored his requests to sit down, and struck him in the head with her bag. She said "go f--k yourself" and called him a "mo-fo." Slater then got on the flight's PA system and allegedly cursed out everyone on the plane including the woman. He took some beers from the galley, pulled the emergency chute and slid off the plane. Slater was later arrested at his home. He is being charged with 2nd-and 4th-degree criminal mischief, 1st- and 2nd-degree reckless endangerment and criminal trespass in the 3rd degree.
