Michael Jackson Update

Final Resting Place: The Daily Express claims Michael Jackson is going to be buried in a 14-karat gold-plated casket. The Batesville Casket Company has received an order for a Promethean, which comes with a dark blue velvet interior and a hand-polished, mirror finish.

Jackson Burial Update: The Daily Mail claims Michael Jackson is going to be buried without his brain because the Los Angeles Coroner's Office is still performing neurological tests on it to determine what kinds of drugs he was using. A source tells the Sunday Mirror that removing the brain was the only way to carry out the tests. Jackson biographer Stacey Brown tells the Sunday People, "He was shooting heroin into his fingertips, toenails and chest. He was taking painkillers too but I don't think he knew just how dangerous it was."

The LAPD removed meth from Michael Jackson's home.
A source tells the Sun, "The Jackson mansion was more like a drugstore than someone's home... Powerful narcotic painkillers of all kinds were found. There was no reasonable excuse for them all being there... Police want to know whether the other people named on the medicine labels really needed the drugs prescribed to them and will be speaking to the doctors involved. Officers are looking very seriously at the people surrounding Michael Jackson and whether they behaved responsibly."

Michael Jackson wanted to adopt some of Nadya Suleman's octuplets. Her ex publicist, Victor Munoz, tells NOW magazine, "When Michael called I thought it was a joke at first. I was getting hundreds of calls every day and many from celebrities’ agents saying their client wanted to help. But when the person on the end of the line said “Hi it’s Michael Jackson” I was a bit taken aback. Michael wanted to know how the babies were, how Nadya was coping. He then said he could take care of the children if Nadya couldn’t. It was creepy. He was basically offering to buy the children. I was a bit shocked. I just blew it off. I knew Nadya would never want to get rid of her kids so it wasn’t important."

The Sunday Mirror claims Michael Jackson was dating his children's former nanny at the time of his death.
A source says, "Grace was the closest person to Michael and the kids. The children were always their first priority and like any couple they would row if they disagreed about how they were being brought up. But the difference between Grace and the other women in Michael's life was that she had absolutely no interest in fame. The romance was well known among staff but it was made very clear to them that this was not something that should be part of the public domain."

750,000 Michael Jackson fans are expcted to line the streets outside of the Staples Center tomorrow. 17,500 lottery winners will be allowed in to say goodbye to The King of Pop. His family says they couldn't bury him at the Neverland Ranch because California's health and safety rules make burying remains outside a cemetery illegal. The memorial will feature a parade of circus animals, including tigers and elephants. Diana Ross, Elizabeth Taylor and Sir Paul McCartney are all expected to attend. www.staplescenter.com received over 500,000 hits in less than two hours on Friday. The site eventually crashed as Michael Jackson's fans went wild in an attempt to score tickets to his Tuesday memorial. Those, who have successfully entered the lottery are already trying to sell their tickets on craigslist for $1,000 a piece. 3 billion people are expected to watch Michael Jackson's funeral. 160 countries will take feeds from ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox. Elizabeth Taylor, Barry Manilow, Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, Eddie Murphy, Paul McCartney, and David Bowie are expected to attend tomorrow's memorial. A hologram of Michael may perform at his memorial.
