Michael Jackson Update

  • Michael Jackson may be buried in concrete to stop thieves from stealing his body, The Sunday Telegraph say.
  • Vendors tried to cash in on Michael Jackson's memorial by selling 'King of Pop' bottled water and bottled beer.
  • Another Michael Jackson tribute is in the works, claims The Hollywood Reporter. This one would be a London concert that would take place on his 51st birthday on August 29th.
  • MTV claims some single men used Michael Jackson's memorial to score dates. One man, who had an extra ticket, posted a Craigslist ad that read: "Date can respond with pic and reason why she deserves to go."
  • The Web domain UnreleasedMichaelJacksonTracks.com is selling for $12 million. An autographed pair of shoes, that Michael Jackson once moonwalked in, are selling on eBay for $20 million.
  • Corey Feldman came to Michael Jackon's memorial dressed like the King of Pop himself
  • Scores of escorts descended upon the Staples Center yesterday where they offered 'grief specials' to some of Michael Jackson's fans. Many cut their hourly rate in half in an effort to score some extra business. Several of the women identified themselves as 'grief counselors'
  • Michael Jackson’s will calls for Bubbles the Chimp to receive $2.5 million. His owner, Bob Dunn, tells the Daily Star, “Jackson’s lawyers have said Bubbles is in his will. I cannot reveal the sum, but it will be more than enough to secure his future.” Jacko had not seen Bubbles for three years, but did send him birthday and Christmas cards.
  • The Lunar Republic Society has renamed a moon crater after Michael Jackson. The crater, which was previously named Posidonius J, is located in the Moon's Lake of Dreams and is close to a 1,200-acre parcel once purchased by Jackson.
