There's an ap for that

The health industry is backing a new cell phone app that would allow people to test themselves for STDs. People would purchase testing chips at drug stores, vending machines, and supermarkets before dropping urine or saliva on the chip and then plugging it into a computer or phone. Within minutes, a diagnosis would be given. Dr Tariq Sadiq, who is leading the project, says, "Your mobile phone can be your mobile doctor. It diagnoses whether you've got one of a range of STDs, such as chlamydia or gonorrhea and tells you where to go next to get treatment."
