"Trainspotting" top UK's Best Films

Harry Potter and Monty Python films each occupy two spots on a new ranking of the top British films of the past 60 years, but they’re both topped by the 1996 cult film Trainspotting.  The Danny Boyle-directed Trainspotting tops a survey conducted by British retailer HMV to mark Queen Elizabeth II's 60 years on the British throne.  The Diamond Jubilee survey results are based on more than 24 thousand online votes.

1. Trainspotting
2. Monty Python and the Holy Grail
3. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two
4. Monty Python’s Life of Brian
5. A Clockwork Orange
6. 2001: A Space Odyssey
7. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
8. The Italian Job
