An 8 year-old Woodward, Oklahoma boy tried to recreate the pole licking scene from A Christmas Story yesterday. Firefighters found the boy standing on his tiptoes with his tongue frozen to a stop sign pole across from his school. They poured water on the boy's tongue and then waited a minute until pulling him off the pole. When asked why he'd stuck his tongue to the pole in such cold weather, the boy said it was because his older brother had dared him to do it. He was taken to the hospital for treatment
