What the Hell Theater

A 43-year-old Belgian truck driver recently got into some hot water over his need for hot coffee behind the wheel. The Austrian Times reports Isaac Fremont, 43, was busted by cops in Schaffhausen, Switzerland when they discovered he was driving with not one, but two kitchen counter coffee pots running on his dashboard. The officers ruled the jury rigged system was illegal. Fremont was fined, and forced to dismantle his mobile coffee bar and take down the rest of the items -- including stuffed animals and family pictures that were obstructing his view -- before he was allowed to drive on.

A 41-year-old man was busted for drunk and negligent drunk driving in a bizarre roll-over accident in Newcastle, Australia Monday morning. The Newcastle Herald reports the unidentified driver had been drinking at home when he and his wife set off to buy cigarettes. He apparently needed the smokes bad enough that he jumped into his Mitsubishi SUV without bothering to put on any clothes. The couple got lost on their way to the store, however, and in a misguided attempt at a u-turn, the man managed to roll his vehicle. An off-duty cop responded to the crash scene to find the nude driver and his wife unharmed.
