Two "really high" Oklahoma men were treated in the hospital for minor injuries Monday night after they hallucinated they were being attacked inside their apartment. The unidentified men allegedly used a spray can as a blow torch to defend themselves, managing to set a small fire in the process. They then jumped out a second floor window to try to flee their fictional attackers. TulsaWorld.com reports police haven't arrested the men, who they described as being "really high."
Three hundred players of the Danish state-run lottery thought they hit a billion dollar jackpot last Wednesday, thanks to an email from the company that manages the contest, Danske Spil. According to the local newspaper Nordjyske, however, the email was sent out accidentally, and the company had the unenviable job of telling each of the winners that they weren't actually $3.8 billion winners. Some obviously thought the email was genuine. One of those who got the email, Flemming Dahl, complained to the paper about being "a billionaire for an-hour-and-a-half." Danske Spil spokesman Thomas Roersig said of the former winners, "We are of course very sorry. We have now written to them to inform them of the sum that they really won." Reportedly, a very nominal amount. How'd they take the news? "Some were disappointed, others were furious and I can fully understand that, but most of them took it well," he said.
