Good news for fans of Thirty Seconds to Mars: the band is working on a new album! “We are excitedly working in the studio," frontman Jared Leto tells Rolling Stone. "I have been working quietly and without much fanfare, but I've been writing and recording constantly, really crafting the future sound of Thirty Seconds to Mars." Leto added that fans will be able to check out some of the band’s new material on Friday during a special online event through Leto’s technology venture, VyRT.net. Leto says that the website allows bands to “sell individual digital tickets to live events and broadcast them online in a social theater." “I really started [VyRT.net] because there was a very special show that we had towards the end of our two-and-a-half year tour,” reveals Leto. “We wanted to broadcast the show in a really high-quality social way, but when we started to look around, there wasn't really a company out there that we could use to share this event. So I started the company.” Friday’s event on VyRT.net will feature an intimate live performance, a preview of Thirty Seconds to Mars' upcoming live tour movie, a sneak peek of their documentary film, Artifact, and a discussion with the band. Digital tickets for the show are available at VyRT.net.
