Who's hanging out?

Butch Vig has participated in a partial Nirvana reunion of sorts. In a Twitter message posted on Thursday night, the Nevermind producer announced that he lent his talents to record something special with Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl and bassist Krist Novoselic.

Vig tweeted, “The last 24 hours have been surreal! Had a great gig at the El Rey last night, and spent today recording with Dave, Krist and special guest!”

While no official details have been released about what the recording will be used for, Grohl has been working with members of Ratt, Slipknot, Queens of the Stone Age and many others over the last few months to write and record songs for his upcoming documentary about Sound City Studios.
